The Children's Rooms
We have separate rooms for the babies, toddlers and older children. This ensures that the children of different ages receive the care, attention and appropriate education that they will need.
Yellow Bears and Red Bears
The babies' and toddler rooms are bright, attractive and equipped with toys to stimulate the imagination and to develop coordination and gross motor skills.
Blue Bears and Green Bears
Here the children have a more structured day with times set aside for singing, stories and play activities that stimulate language and creative play.
Rainbow Bears
Activities are organised around the 'Topic' for that month, which is implemented by the room leader. Our comprehensive planning programme ensures children gain the necessary skills and knowledge to make a smooth transition from nursery to main school at age 5.
Art and Craft Areas
This is where the children experience a whole range of activities, from painting, gluing and sticking and play-dough to sand and water and far beyond.
Quite Time
All children need adequate rest and sleep in order to be active and healthy. Those children who need a sleep are settled on a mat in a quite area. A member of staff will stay with them until they are all asleep. Some children do not need a sleep, but still need to have half an hour or so resting on a mat.
Integration with other Rooms
Fear of the unfamiliar and being away from their usual environment can cause stress the many children. Before moving on to the next room, discussions will take place with the parents so that they know what the objectives are. The children will visit that room several times beforehand so that they can familiarise themselves with the staff and other children.
